Through working with district-based non-profit making organisations, lively activities related to children's daily experiences are organised to arouse non-Chinese speaking children's interest in learning Chinese language, enrich their daily vocabulary and enhance their oracy and literacy development in Chinese language.

Project Title: S (Singing & Stories) for Fun – Supporting NCS Children in Learning Chinese
Collaborating with six kindergartens and primary schools with higher admission of NCS children, workshops and cultural visits will be organised for the NCS children in every school year to help them recognise Chinese characters and vocabulary. Upon request, Chinese language learning groups and/or cultural visits will also be organised for students from seven mainstream primary schools in every school year to enhance the students' ability of recognising Chinese characters and vocabulary, as well as their understanding of their community. It is estimated that the two-year programme will benefit a maximum of 482 NCS children aged from 3 to 12.

Project Title: Happy Chinese Learning Project III

30 courses with progressive levels on various topics will be orgainsed. Portable electronic reading pens with voice output for demonstrating pronunciation will be provided to assist NCS parents in helping their children learn Chinese language in an interactive and interesting way. The programme will be conducted in Kwun Tong, Yau Tsim Mong and Sham Shui Po. NCS children from all districts of Hong Kong will be invited to enrol. It is estimated that the two-year programme will benefit a maximum of 240 NCS children aged from 3 to 8.
