Pilot PSC Training Courses
To complement EDB’s measures to enhance the Language Proficiency Requirement for Putonghua teachers (please refer to EDB Circular Memorandum (EDBCM) No. No. 74/2024), the Standing Committee on Language Education and Research (SCOLAR) is piloting the use of the LF to subsidise eligible teachers to enrol in the training courses for the National Putonghua Proficiency Test (PSC training courses), thereby providing support for schools to build a reserve of teaching talent for the Putonghua subject.
To help teachers strive for Grade A Level 2 (二級甲等) or above in the PSC, four pilot PSC training courses will be offered by the HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Education University of Hong Kong, and Hong Kong Shue Yan University respectively. Please refer to the document for download EDBCM No. 83/2026 to learn about the eligibility requirements, course introductions, and enrolment information.
