The competition aims to improve students’ public speaking, listening, critical thinking and research skills, and to broaden their exposure and horizons for effective learning and lifelong personal development. It will have a scale of 216 teams (152 teams in the Chinese section and 64 teams in the English section) and there will also be a briefing seminar on debating tips. In order to engage the community, there will be ongoing reporting of the competition and special education columns in newspapers and social media. An exchange and sharing workshop will be organised with students from Macau / Greater Bay Area for students to gain more exposure.
