To support schools to build on the foundation of English Enhancement Scheme for Secondary Schools to adjust and/or refocus relevant items of their plans as appropriate to put in place their school-based fine-tuned Medium of Instruction (MOI) arrangements, the Education Bureau launched the Refined English Enhancement Scheme for Secondary Schools (REES) in 2010.
The ceiling of funding under REES was $1 million for each school. The actual amount of grant for each school depended on individual schools' proposals and implementation strategies.
The school-based measures were required to be completed by the end of the 2013/14 school year.
